  • Woman applying make-up
If you're going to drive in the left lane of the Capitol Beltway, perhaps applying make-up shouldn't be your highest priority task. Yes I'm talking to you, lady in the Blue Honda. You have the honor of being the first Road Hazard of the Day award handed out to an animate object (and I use the term animate, very loosely).

It could have been worse....

On our trip up to the Idaho Mountains last week we passed a truck marked "Danger - Explosives" As we passed I looked over to see who was driving such a rig and it was a blonde-haired lady who was filing her nails. In the classical way to, one in the air holding nothing and the other just filing down the free hand. It was part funny part scary. I wish I had a cam-corder.

my pops was driving to work one day, many moons ago, and witnessed something similar. As he was slowing up for the bumper to bumper traffic, a guy in a Benz blew past at about 80+ as he guesstimated. The four cars in front of this Benz never knew what hit them because Mr. Benzo was too busy reading the newspaper.
