Von, Two, Three, ah ah ah...

Democrat Christine Gregoire will get to remain Governor of Washington reports Reuters. A judge found that there was no "fraud or intentional bias" when Gregoire kept asking for recount after recount until the votes came out in her favor and then suddenly stopped recounting as soon as she had enough votes to win the election. Okay, that's not exactly what he said.

Chelan County Superior Court Judge John Bridges said Republican Dino Rossi's supporters failed to show that Gregoire unfairly benefited from the counting of nearly 1,700 votes, including some from felons whose votes were not valid.
Out of 2.9 million votes, Gregoire "won" by just 129. After losing the initial count and losing the state mandated recount, Gregoire asked for a hand recount of the machine ballots, during which boxes of ballots were suddenly "discovered" in districts that leaned heavily toward Democrats.

Remember, "It's not who votes that counts, it's who counts the votes." Stalin would be proud.

The thing that bothers me the most about this isn't so much the obvious fraud, but rather the fact that bogus result is allowed to stand and that there is apparently no recourse for the victim(s).

Seriously, it's much like the problem with the Supreme Court these days - once the court rules, however wrong the ruling, it must be accepted by the foolish, unsophisticated masses.

There is no higher authority these days than a few self-important people sitting in courtrooms, and I find that frightening as hell.

The whole court system - both federal and state needs to revisited. Recently, a state judge in Kansas ordered the legislature to pass a tax increase to increase funding for schools. This judge in Washington seems to think that whatever he/she decides about illegal votes (without benefit of common law or logic) goes.

Who died and made these people God? There used to be people like this in the old USSR, they were called the Central Committee. They didn't need to check with voters either. Where do they get their arrogance from?

What are the chances of Gregior being recalled? I would imagine that there would be significant support for that if WA laws allow for it.
