ABC (Australia) reports that due to budget cuts, the Swedish armed forces are only working 9-5.

Sweden's armed forces will operate only during office hours for the rest of the year to cut costs, according to military headquarters.

They will also cut fighter plane patrols to a minimum, keep navy ships in port, mothball armoured vehicles and stop using large-calibre live ammunition during exercises. [...]

A parliamentary defence commission said in a recent report that the likelihood of Sweden facing a military threat in the foreseeable future was very small.

Now that the secret is out, the threat probably just got a whole lot bigger. They remind me of those GFWs that put a sign on their lawn proclaiming "Gun free home". In both cases, the sign might as well say "we are defenseless, please come attack us".
