On the subject of running for President in 2004, Hillary Clinton announced that she was "absolutely ruling it out". Wesley Pruden thinks that it is all part of her grand deception. He says it is the same game plan Bill used when he broke his promise to serve out his term as Arkansas governor.
Personally, I cannot help but think that all the mixed polling data is a ploy to lure Hillary into the 2004 race. The weaker Bush looks the more likely she is to run. A recent poll that shows that not even their own mothers can name a Democrat presidential candidate only serves to sweeten the pot.
You may be correct in your assessment, but like Lope, It seems to me that General Wesley Clark will declare as a demo candidate. His next big public appearance is scheduled for 9/19 when I strongly suspect he will make his announcement.
Further, if he does become a candidate, like Lope, I suspect he will swiftly outflank the other very weak oponents... ummm, maybe this is only wishful thinking, but I also suspect as the demo candidate he will draw on many of the democrats who have traditionally felt they had no one to vote for as well as Independents such as myself ( LOL, I would, if there could be such a beast, label myself as a Left leaning Libertarian rather than a Left Liberal as the Quiz indicated ) and also many moderate republicans.
As I said to Lee Dise. I suspect that Hilliary knows her limitations. Further, I don't expect her to jump into what seems to me to be a powerful world pool which might suck her down into political oblivion.
