Actually, since the context of that is over the stimulus amendment that allowed the controversial AIG bonuses, it's quite funny that around the same time Chris Dodd was saying otherwise. Dodd and a spokesman from Treasury are now admitting that the "concern" over protecting the bonuses came from Treasury and Administration officials, leading to Dodd introducing the amendment.
The fact that just hours before Dodd & his staff were denying that he had anything to do with the amendment and now he's admitting to writing it, well, that just makes it funnier.
