From the department of useless polling

iconCNN asks: "Are you tired of hearing about terror alerts?" Not surprisingly, most people are tired of the alerts. Then again, people who live in Kansas are probably tired of hearing tornado sirens. But that doesn't exactly mean it's a good idea to turn them off.

No, we in Kansas don't get tired of sirens, just the endless and inane TV bulletins when a few drops of rain fall. Sirens on the other hand are a signal that it's time to grab to camcorder and race outside amidst swirling uprooted trees and take videos. :)

Tired of terror alerts? Heavens, no...in fact, I schedule my life around them.

How many times can you cry "Wolf!!" before people stop paying attention. It's simple human nature. Of course, there IS a Presidential election underway, and our ever-lovin' Dept. of Homeland Insecurity has to look diligent, eh? It reminds of the old bumper sticker: JESUS IS COMING- LOOK BUSY!
