Although he may never get laid again, kudos to John Hawkins for sticking to his guns.
While I did have a few women on the list that I submitted, I must admit that they were a distinct minority. Perhaps he can do a list just for American women.
Let's see.. Marlyn Monroe, Pamela Anderson, Jennifer Aniston, Tanya Roberts.... Oops, sorry.. wrong list.
I feel much the same. For whatever reasons, Yourish and VK think having an opinion like John's is outrageous and unacceptable...which is an attitude I consider outrageous and unacceptable. From their shrieks, you'd have thought he'd proposed to restore chattel slavery.
Admiration cannot be compelled; it must be earned. Moreover, it must be earned according to the standards of the admirer, not the admiree. For the record, I'd have had a damned hard time displacing any of the chosen 20 for Rosa Parks, myself.
That's the problem with lists. If you ever listened to a weekend radio countdown, some moron always calls in and complains that "Softcell" doesn't get the respect they deserve.
