Frank Beamer won ACC Coach of the Year for the second year in a row. And to think, the ACC originally didn't want the Hokies.
Virginia Tech travels to Jacksonville to defend their ACC Championship Title against FSU this weekend.

This is why the ACC didn't want VT. They already had a dominant team in football (FSU) and were adding another (Miami). Schools like Duke, WF and UNC were all pissed that they would be giving up an extra (lost) game each season, and they would have nothing to show for it come BBall time.
