Dumbing down today's pop stars

FOX News reports on the dumbing down of today's pop stars. Many of them are just spokespeople for the product with little creative input, so it isn't surprising that they have never heard of David Bowie, Yoko Ono, or Joan Jett.

Another set of verbal mishaps sprung from the lips of Britney Spears. Last year, when Fox 411's Roger Friedman jokingly asked the starlet if she would be the millennium's Yoko Ono - referencing her relationship with 'N Sync's Justin Timberlake - Spears' response was: "Who?"
Fox News doesn't mention it, but perhaps this is part of the reason CD revenues are falling year after year.

yeah, they are dumber these days, but I wouldn't base it on not knowing older stars. to be honest, I wouldn't have understood the Yoko Ono reference. although i do know how to pronounce, bowie, that's a surprise seeing as how i don't listen to him.
